Take your rest in Paradise in Jesus’ Holy. Name.
Amen

On December 14. 1999, God sent a beautiful gift to Chandra Lashay Thomas-Petty (Quentin Petty). Latravean “T-Baby” Thomas, was their first born of two amazing children.

Many knew him as T-Baby. T, was known as the life of the party: happy. energetic and always full of joy. As a baby he had a SCREAM that was HIGHER than his phenomenal slam dunk on the basketball court. He made his presence known on every level from day one.

T-Baby’s favorite pass time was shooting hoops. spending quality time with his daughter, and hanging out with his Bros and Family.

T-Baby attended Bryan High School where he made same of his cherished memories with the varsity basketball team. T-Baby was one of the star players for the Bryan High Vikings in 2016—2018. One Of his most amazing accomplishments was helping to lead his team all the way to the regional tournament.

Music was the melody that gave him the flow with his stride, the basketball was the rhythm that kept him soring. The game Of basketball was his therapy and one of his most powerful expressions of greatness. He simply loved the game with all of his heart and he played with passion and energy every time his hands touched a basketball. It didn’t matter if he was playing in an high school tournament, or in the neighborhood park, he
owned the court!

T-Baby loved God and he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. God was his strength through even trial and struggle in this life. T-Baby was a member Of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church.

T-Baby’s mother and his nanna were his queens here on the earth. They were his support and his deepest reason for working hard to accomplish his goals and reach his destiny. T-Baby was a family-oriented person, he would give his all to make sure the people he loved were okay.

One of his most precious moments was when his princess, his little twin baby girl “Mari” was born. T-Baby was so proud of his baby girl. She was his pride and joy. Mari had the keys to his heart, she controlled his cell phone at the tender age Of two, such a wise energetic “little lady”. Mari could bring out T’s bright smile and laughter when no one else could.

T-Baby’s smile could illuminate any room and if you were not a dancer, you would become one after hanging out with him, or you would embarrass yourself trying, there was never a dull moment when T was around. T-Baby could make anyone feel included no matter how young or old. To be an All-Star means: “You are chosen, seen as the best at your position from all teams in a league or region”. T-Baby was definitely one of the All-Stars in our family and in his community. His brother and cousins admired him and always felt safe when he was present.

T-Baby could make anyone laugh. He was loving, compassionate, and a true leader. We will miss his presence deeply and we will forever hold precious memories of him in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by great grandparents, Willie Lee Williams Sr. (Paw Paw) and Cesther Williams (Mama C); Louis Nelson Sr, Glayds Blake, Willie Lee Williams Jr (uncle Junior) and Byron Johnson Sr. (cousin).

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Quentin Petty and Chandra Lashay Thomas-Petty; one brother, Makiel Thomas “Woody”; a daughter, Jamari Ileah Thomas; mother of daughter, Chahnyce Foster ; god sister, Serenity Ford; grandparents, Sandra Kay Williams-Thomas and Louis Thomas; aunts, Anne Jenkins (Aunt Red), Anne B.
