Andrew James Daily, Sr., age 89, of Wellborn, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his home.
Andrew was born on October 1, 1936, in Wellborn, Texas, to Robert Lee Daily and Johnnie Mae Daily. He attended Lincoln School and later worked as a foreman at the Poultry Science Department at Texas A&M University.
He was a faithful member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church of Wellborn, Texas. Andrew loved his family, working with horses, and the life of farming and ranching. He was a faithful
presence at Wednesday night Bible study and a longtime Dallas Cowboys fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, Eddie Mae Daily; his brothers, Robert Daily and Freddie Daily; his sister, Doris Jones (David); and his daughter, Geniece Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Elder Andrew J. Daily, Jr. (Brenda), Tommy Daily (Glenda), Ronald Spriggs, and Nick Johnson (Twinkle); daughters and sons-in-law:
Bonita Simpson (Lonnie) and Cheryl Richardson (Clide); brothers and sisters-in-law: Louis Daily, Sr. (Dorothy), David Daily (Charlotte), and Faye Dell Daily; along with 27 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. He also had a special love for his animals – his horse Popcorn, dog Leo, and mules Amos and Andy.
