Mrs. Elvesta Robertson Ballew

Mrs. Elvesta Robertson Ballew was born August 1, 1927 to Mr. & Mrs. John and Mattie Adams in Bryan, TX. She departed this life at the age of 93 years old on October 27, 2020.

Mrs. Elvesta grew up and attended school in Bryan, TX. She accepted Jesus Christ into her life as a young child. She attended and was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to New Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful and devoted member as president of the Usher Board, president of Mission #2 and she taught Sunday School. She met and married the love of her life, Tommy Lee Robertson, from Wheelock, TX. In her later years, she married Aaron Ballew.

Mrs. Elvesta Ballew was a loving and caring woman who opened her home to everyone and helped anyone she could. She offered a listening ear and her guidance to everyone in need—it would just be up to you to listen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Aaron Ballew Jr.; two daughters, Edna Love and Vera Sue Green; two brothers, Nolan Adam, Hillis Adams; and three sisters, They Owens, Willie Mae Alcorn and Cecile Wooley.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Tommie Jewel Robertson, Cecil Ballew Ford and Karen Ballew; seven grandchildren, Yvetha Morris, Howard Green Jr., Jacquian LaShae Sharperson, Marques Alexander, Tequila Ballew, Antwynne Ballew and Charity Ford; nine great-grandchildren, Terrance Adams, Sedeisha Adams, Brittany Morris, Crystal Morris, Teasia Craig, Kiana Sherperson, Natha Sharperson, Nicole Ballew and Howard Green III; two great-great-grandchildren, Tyianna Adams and Teyanna Washington and a host of nieces, nephews, and a beloved and devoted son –in-law, James Alexander; along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 3, 2020 from 2pm to 6pm in the chapel of Daniel and Son Funeral Home located at 401 W.18th St., Bryan, TX 77803. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday November 4, 2020 at 11:00 am at St.James M.B.C. located in Castle Heights at 4806 Hwy 21 East,Bryan, TX 77808. Interment will be immediately after the service at Bryan City Cemetery.
