Obituary

Willie Newton was born July 12, 1934 to Willie Lee Townsend and Robert Newton in Robertson County, Texas. He accepted Christ as his Lord and savior at an early age at New Zion Baptist Church in Mumford, Texas. He moved to Mumford at early age and became a Farmer for Francis Foyt, where he met and married his wife Aletha Turner. Proceeding him in death are his parents, Willie Lee Townsend and Robert Newton, his wife, Aletha Turner. He leaves to cherish his memory; two brothers, Jackie Pullern of College Station, Texas, Roosevelt Townsend of Bryan, Texas; a loving step-daughter, Annette Turner of Bryan, two step sons, Bobby Turner and Robbie Turner both of Lubbock, Texas; five grandchildren, Lovoria and Bryan McCowan of Houston, Cheryln and Bryant Turner of Bryan, Texas, Kaneisha Turner of Bryan, Texas, Christian Turner of Houston; one great granddaughter, Adrianna Turner; one niece, Jacklyn Darden; one nephew, Malcom Darden; two special friends, Jonas Lewis and Reverend Joe Wilbert, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
