Obituary
Mario Deundre Durens was born November 28,1983 in Bryan, Texas to Tommy Durens and Johnnie Faye Sims. Mario received his education in Bryan Independent School District, where he graduated from Bryan High School at the age of 17 years old. He continued his education with Common Wealth Institute studying mortuary sciences classes. His plans were to go back to commonwealth and finish his schooling this year. Mario received Christ at an early age and grew up in the church at St. James Baptist Church. He loved and enjoyed preaching, teaching and talking about the Lord Jesus Christ. He was the proud Pastor of Living On Purpose Ministries, which was launched in 2015. Mario enjoyed singing even though he couldn’t, that didn’t stop him. He was a natural born cook, who loved to cater for different companies, and small business. He had an entrepreneurial spirit. He liked playing dominoes and was just family oriented, loved his family. Mario and Chika met at church 20 years ago. They dated for 14 years and then tied the knot of marriage with God’s blessing in 2015 of May. He had a contagious smile, sweet spirt and determined soul to make an impact in the community. He brought much love to all his family and friends. Mario departed this life on Friday, March 05,2021 at Chi St. Joseph Hospital in College Station, Texas. His brother, Pierre Thomas Alonzo Durens proceeded him in death.
