Loving Memory Of Roderick Ray Hearne, Sr.

Roderick’s Journey

Roderick Ray Hearne, Sr. was born March 26, 1954, to Jesse and Velma Ray Hearne in Brownwood, Texas. He served in and retired from the United States Army as a Sergeant. While serving, he was honored with several decorations, medals, and honors; the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal Clasp; Bronze Two Loops, and Sharpshooter Specialist. After retiring from the U.S. Army, he drove buses for Greyhound and Trailways bus lines and long haul trucking.

He departed this life on March 12, 2021, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Velma Hearne.

Roderick’s memory will live on through the life of all his remaining family: his brother Melvin Winn (Fayrene) of Brownwood, Texas; his son Ahzaniah Shabat Zayan (Roderick Ray Hearne, Jr.); his daughter-in-law Sham-achaa Mathanah (Erin B. Hearne); his daughter Asha DeAun Webb; four grandchildren: Itazama Rawchaa (Roderick Ray Hearne, Ill), Shiloh J. Hearne, Samaria Z. Hearne, and Nehemiah G. Hearne, all of Bryan, Texas and a host of relatives and friends.
