Connie Louise Walker Rhodes

Connie Louise Walker Rhodes was born November 16th, 1963, in Bryan,
Texas to Queen Walker Townsend and Emmitt Walker. She attended Bryan
High School where she was the class of 1982. Connie is remembered as
being immensely vivacious, full of life, courageous , witty and most
importantly having a caring heart of gold.

She married her childhood sweetheart Richard Vance Rhodes on June 18, 1988 They were blessed with two beautiful children, Lauren Imani Rhodes
and Constance Brianna Rhodes
.

She retired from GTE and worked at Verizon Wireless (Frontier), as well as
being a faithful Youth Sunday School teacher up until her health declined and
she received a double lung transplant at UT Southwest hospital in Dallas,
Texas in 2012. The Lord was ready to have her back on March 28, 2019.

She’s preceded in death by her father , Emmitt Walker; Brother Ronnie
Walker, grandparents and a host of aunts and uncles.

She leaves to continue her legacy, two daughters, Lauren Imani Rhodes and
Constance Brianna Rhodes of Prairie View, Texas; her devoted , faithful, and
selfless husband Reverend Vance Rhodes of Bryan, Texas ; her mother,
Queen Townsend of Bryan , Texas, (sister) Sheilia Walker, (brother) Derek
Foley; several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as a multitude of
in-laws and loving friends.
