A Life Well- Lived

On August 20. 2000 Minister De’Quevion Jackson was born in Flint, Ml to Rhonda
Johnson and Eric Smith Sr. De’Quevion was a man who loved his family and left a legacy of
love. De’Quevion was a member at New Creation Teaching Ministry. De’Quevion’s love for
Christ started at a young age while at Second Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Flint.
Michigan. He was well mannered, gracious and caring. He was eager to help and loved to
spread the word of God. He never wavered from his Faith. De’Quevion was a graduate of Earl
Rudder high school in Bryan Texas where he was the mascot. He also served in hospitality
after graduating. De’Quevion’s Spiritual calling flourished at Galilee Missionary Baptist
Church under the teaching of Dr. Anthony Ross Senior. There he served as Jr. Deacon,
Youth Usher & song in the choir. De’Quevion dedicated his time as an honorary employee
for Daniel and son funeral home at a young age. Once he became of age, he joined the team
and was dependable and dedicated. De’Quevion went On to become a licensed Minister of
the Gospel.
He leaves to cherish his memories; His loving daughter, Faith Marie Jackson (Mahogany),
Mother Rhonda Johnson (Mark Robinson), Father Eric Smith Sr., Sister Octavia Bryson.
Aunts: Favorite Crystal Grimes, Denora Jackson-Meadows, NyKole Barbee, Shonda
Meadows, Qwanese Evans, Donnella Wright. Uncle: Antonio Jones. Loving Grandmother
Annette Jackson, and Grandfather Ronald Bolden (Patricia Lawton). Cousins: ldaysia, Layla,
De’Leecia, Dra’Nora, Torre Jr. and a host of loved ones.
Special Aunt Elizabeth Jackson. Mentors Charles Mosley, Jr., and Rev. Brandon
Stewart. Loved ones Tasia Gentry, Shanda “Nana” Nicks, Shundriel “Tug” Bassett, Reginald
“Ponzo” Nicks, Shalon Nicks, Caleb Benner and Robbie Fields.
Proceeded in death by Sister Nevaeh Jackson-Gilliam, Dad Byron Johnson Sr., Great
Grandparents Juanita Nesbitt, Buford Jackson, Mattie and Robert D. Jackson.
