Obituary:
Shun Torrea Martin Jr . was welcomed into the world November 8, 1992 to his parents Tamesha Martel and Shun Torrea Martin Sr . He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, March of 2006. As a child, Shun attended Bryan public schools, and
later worked in construction. He enjoyed spending most of his time surrounded by a close circle of family and friends.
Shun will always be remembered for his beautiful smile that could light up any room, his loving personality , fun spirit and for his jokingly sense of humor . He enjoyed boxing and being around
family , but above all else he loved being a father . Every part of his being was dedicated to his daughter, S’myiah and son, Shun (JT) Martin. Shun made sure to make his children his number one priority , and was truly an inspiration to others with the love he showed to them.
Shun’ s memory will forever be cherished by his loving children S’myiah and Shun (JT) Martin, mother; Tamesha Martel, father; Shun Martin Sr ., grandparents; Valerie Martin and Pamela
Martel, brothers; Donovan Bailey and Michael Brooks II of Bryan, Texas, sister ’ s Brittany Brooks of Bryan, Texas, Shuniece Martin of Pleasant Grove, Alabama and Daebreon Janae Martin of Aurora, Colorado along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Shun was escorted to the gates of Heaven by the angels of God, Donald Earl Martin (grandfather), Elizabeth Dunn-Archer (great grandmother), and Montrial Webb (brother in law).
Now resting with the Lord, Shun will be honored as a devoted father, loving family member and special friend. He will be greatly missed and forever loved

“The Broken Chain”
W e knew little that morning, God would call your name. In life we loved you dearly , in death we
do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not die alone; for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home. Y ou left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide.
Although we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing
seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
Love,
Y our family
