Janie Mae Walton – Davenport

Mrs. Janie Mae Walton Davenport was born April 12, 1944 to the late Alvin E. Walton Sr. and Leander Anderson
Davis in Bryan, Texas. She attended Bryan Public Schools. She accepted Christ at an early age.

Janie enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, dominoes, barbeque and friends. She was loved by all and had a smile for everyone.

We realize that Jesus knows all things and he taken Janie to her eternal home. On July 22, 2019, Janie Davenport took her last peaceful breath at home.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Jean, Edna and Mary; five brothers, Clinton, Alvin Jr., James, Booker, Milton and Johnny.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Renay Blakey of Bryan, Texas and Cheryl Jackson (Glen) of Arlington, Texas; three sons, Earnest Davenport
(Deborah) of San Antonio, Texas, Larry Davenport and Vincent Murphy, both of Bryan, Texas; six sisters, Barbara
Robinson of Philadelphia, PA, Opal Seegars (Donnell) of Bryan, Texas, Mamie Ellis of College Station, Texas, Josephine Garrett (Billy Ray), Janaful Walton and Gloria
Gooden (Charles), all of Bryan, Texas; eight brothers, Willie Ray Jones, Jesse Walton, Rev. Robert Jones (Princess Ann)
and Terry Berringer (Monique), all of Bryan, Texas, Melvin Walton of Dallas, Texas, Linzy “Jody” (Kathy) of Colorado,
Alton Walton (Charity) and William Walton “Poncho” (Ba’nette), all of Bryan, Texas; sixteen grandchildren, Tanika, Shanicka Bryson, Earnest, Joe, Tristan,
Kierra, Tremaine “Trey”, Terrance, Jennie, Donnell II., Makaya, Makhi, Tiara, Quentin, Luther; seventeen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She had a few special friends, Evelyn Rhodes, Janie Strickland, Tammy
Lambirth, Tabitha Fox, Frank Amos and Casper.

Visitation will be held Friday July 26, 2019 from 10am to 6pm at Daniel and Son Funeral Home 401 W. 18th st. Bryan , Tx 77803.

Funeral Services will be held Sat July 27, 2019 at 2pm at Peaceful Rest M.B.C., 1409 Congo St., Bryan, Tx 77803.
