Obituary

Mary Alice Jackson was born on December 30 ,1932 to Evelyn  Rogers and J.D. Gator. She gave her life to Christ at an early age, she later  united with Christ Holy Missionary Baptist Church, under Pastor Kimmie  Daily . 

Mary met and married Robert Wyatt Sr. and were blessed with a daughter  and 3 sons.  

Ms. Jackson worked for the Holiday Inn and 29 years of service for St.  Joseph Regional Center in Bryan, as a housekeeper where she gained her  nickname “the cleanup lady”.  

She loved playing bingo and enjoyed family activities and caring for her  family members. She also served her community on the eastside of Bryan  in the projects where she was known as “Mama Mae”. She always placed  the need of others before herself.  

Ms. Jackson departed this life, peacefully on June 15, 2021, with family  members. She was a very caring, compassionate, and loving mother. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Micheal Wyatt; brother,  Leroy Gator; sister, Christine Banks; and granddaughter, Kaicci Wyatt. Mary Jackson, leaves her loving smile in the hearts of her daughter, Sha ron (Thomas) Merchant; her two sons, Robert Wyatt, Jr. and Johnny Wy att; one sister, Louella Taylor; her grandchildren, Carl Wyatt, Kimberly  Wyatt, Christopher Wyatt, Shemeia Wyatt, Tonya Moore, Jamaul Mer chant, LaToya Merchant, Octavia Mack, Keevon Elmore; a host of great  grands and great great grands that she loved unconditional; special  cousin Maggie Spencer; god-daughter Charlotte Ratcliff, a god grand
