Obituary
Cora Lee Davenport was born on February 26, 1935 to Willie and Fannie Williams in Cameron Texas. Cora went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her home in Bryan, Texas.Cora was a homemaker most of her life. Cora was a God fearing woman that loved the Lord. Cora was a member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Cora was very devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Later in life, Cora married Willie Davenport, Sr., and to this union 4 beautiful children were born.Cora was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Davenport, Sr., her son, Willie (Yack) Davenport, Jr.; parents, Willie and Fannie Williams; sisters, Rosie Nell Jenkins, Carrie B. Walker, Julia Ree Pittman, Ora Mae Johnson, and Irene Martin; brothers, Robert Lee Williams and Bobby Williams.She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Dennis Davenport (Cheryl) of Rowlett, Texas, and Sherwin (Chuck) Davenport of Bryan, Texas; and one daughter, Winstonia (Skeet) Davenport of Bryan, Texas; one brother, Willie Williams (Carylon) of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Jane White of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Condolences to the family. Mr. Willie (W. D.) was our piano player at Salem Baptist when it was still out in the country of Brazos Bottom. I remember when Winstonia was a baby. You are in my prayers
