Home Going Celebration for Sis. Gwendolyn Wells

Obituary

On May 30, 1955, the late Glifford and Arlyne Steptoe welcomed a beautiful baby girl. They named her Gwendolyn
Elaine Steptoe in Houston, Harris County, Texas.
Gwendolyn attended public schools in Houston ISD and graduated from M.C. Williams High School in 1974.
Gwendolyn eventually moved to Bryan/College Station where she resided and became a member of Pleasant Grove
Baptist Church in College Station and later, she became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Millican, Texas.
She was a very caring, compassionate, and loving person that was always dedicated to helping others.
Gwendolyn worked various jobs within TDCJ, Home Health Care Services, and Brazos Transit where she retired.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents; Glifford and Arlyne Steptoe, sister Joan Levingston, and two
grandchildren Denejea Wells and Jason Wells.
Gwendolyn’s legacy of strength and love for her family will be passed on to her daughter Stacey Thomas (George);
two sons Early Wells (Cathy); Demetrius Wells Sr.; her grandchildren, Chase Wells, Cierra Wells, Breierra Wells,
Aniya Wells, Demetrius Well Jr., Jaydan Wells, Ashton Wells, Dayton Wells; three great-grandchildren, Breson
Wells, Adonis Williams, Angel Williams; one brother John Steptoe (Cathy); five sisters Gaylen McKenzie, Glenda
Steptoe, Evelyn Hall, Karen Brown, Chantale Parker and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be missed
greatly by her family members and her friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 19,2022 at 2:30 P.M. at Macedonia Baptist Church 22728 Clay St. Millican, Tx 77866

Visitation Services will be held on Friday November 18, 2022 11:00 A.M. until 6:30P.M. at Daniel & Son Funeral Home located at 401 W 18th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803
