Obituary
Walter Merians Parnell, Sr., age 71, entered into eternal rest, on November 20, 2022. He was born on August 16,
1951, to Pete Parnell and Rebecca Kizzie in Brazos County, Texas, to Pete Parnell and Rebecca Kizzie.
At an early age Walter confessed a hope in Christ. Walter was a member and attended Mt. Vernon Missionary
Baptist Church located in Bryan, Texas.
Walter attended Bryan Independent Schools and graduated from E.A. Kemp High School. He enjoyed working
on small equipment and watching football especially his favorite team the “DALLAS COWBOY”. He enjoyed and
loved spending time with his family and friends.
Walter is preceded in death by his father, Pete Parnell; and one sister, Denise Graham.
Walter leaves to cherish his precious memories, his mother, Rebecca Kizzie Salter; one son, Walter Parnell
and wife, Adell; daughters, Alberta Love, Evon Sharp, Deon Williams and husband, Donald Williams, Jr., Walkie
Parnell, and Rebecca Parnell and husband, Rodrick Moore; three brothers, Lynn Kizzie and wife, Linda Kizzie,
Billie Kizzie and Will Kizzie; three sisters, Cathy Bloom and husband, James, Margaret Parnell Burns, and Jackie
Graham; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
