Dana Spates
Dana Kaye Spates, 66 of Bryan passed on December 22, 2018. She was born on October 13, 1952 to Otis Johnson,Sr and Imogene Petty Johnson. She was the oldest of four children. She attended school in Germany, Lawton, Oklahoma and Bryan. She graduated high school from Lawton High School, Oklahoma in May of 1970.
At an early age Dana accepted the Lord as her personal savior. She was a member of Galilee MBC under leadership of Dr. Anthony Ross. She was employed by GTE until she retired in 1994.
Dana funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29 at 11am at Galilee MBC in Bryan. Visitation will be held Friday December 28, from 11am to 7pm at Daniel and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately take place after services at Oakwood Cemetery in Bryan.
Dana was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Otis Johnson, Jr and a granddaughter; Danasha S. Spates.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters; Monica M. Spates of Houston, Texas and Tiffany Davenport of Bryan; one sister Linda F. Johnson of Bryan; one brother; Ronald. G Johnson ( Lillie) of Bryan; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
