James Edward Birdow, better known as “Blue,” was born on May 7, 1960, in Palestine, Anderson County, Texas, to Eddie Edmond Birdow, Sr. and Icola Simon Birdow.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at a young age and was baptized and became a member of the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.

James attended Palestine ISD and graduated from Palestine High School. He worked for over twenty years in the oil fields. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family. James was preceded in death by his parents; Eddie Edmond Birdow, Sr., and Icola Simon Birdow; his siblings, Helen, Evelene, Angel, Lawrence, O., J., Paul, Eddie E. Jr., Corine, Cliff T. and Eddie Lee.

He transitioned on Monday, June 08, 2026, from this earthly home to be with his Heavenly Father.
James leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, JoAnn Birdow; his brother, Johnny (Nedra) Birdow; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
