Christopher Leon Hill, Sr., affectionately known by many as “Headlight,” was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend whose life touched the hearts of many who knew and loved him. Christopher was born on April 15, 1973, to Linda Joyce Hill and Joe Wilmer White, Sr. His mother, Linda, spent much of her life between Bryan and Dallas, Texas, and his father, Joe, resides in Dallas, Texas.
From an early age, Christopher had a love for sports, especially football, where his natural talent and competitive spirit could be seen by everyone around him. He attended James Madison High School in Dallas, Texas, where he became known as a star football player. Football was more than just a sport to Chris— it was something he truly loved. Those who knew Christopher will remember him not only for his athletic ability, but also for his big personality and playful spirit. He was a jokester who knew how to make people laugh. Although he was a big guy, Chris loved
to dance—and he had a rhythm. His sense of humor and unmistakable personality made him someone who was difficult to forget.
Christopher worked in the plumbing industry and the oil field. He was a jack of many trades. He loved his family deeply, and the memories he created with them will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Christopher was preceded in death by his grandmother, Billie Jean Carlli; his mother, Linda Joyce Hill; and his brothers, James Sandlers and Kevin White.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Joe White, Sr. of Dallas, Texas; stepmother, Emily Lee of Dallas, Texas; son, Christopher Hill, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Miracle Hill of Bryan, Texas; sister, August Hill of Bryan, Texas; brothers, Carlos Hill of Bryan, Texas, Calvin White of Dallas, Texas, Joe White, Jr. of Bryan, Texas and Johnny Johnson of Galveston, Texas; sister, Mary Ann Jones of Bryan, Texas; aunt, Barbara Hill of Bryan, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Though Christopher’s journey on this earth has come to an end, his memory will not. He will be remembered for his big personality and the unique spirit that made him “Headlight.” May the memories of Christopher bring comfort to those who mourn his passing, and may his loved ones find peace in knowing that the love he shared with them will remain forever.
