A Celebration Of Life For Bro Larry Donnell Johnson

Mr. Larry Donnell Johnson was born to JT and Lucy
Williams on August 16, 1957, in Bryan, Texas. At an early age, Larry was
introduced to Christ and united with the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Benchley, Texas.
Larry grew up in Bryan, Texas where he attended Travis B. Bryan High School. He was always a joy to be around. Upon, completing his education, Larry married the love of his life, Debbie Haynes. To this union, five children were born: Derrick, LaToya, Justin, LaRiya, and Jaida Johnson.
He then enlisted in the United States Army where he served a term of four
years. After serving in the army, Larry and Debbie settled in Houston,
Texas. While living there, he obtained employment with Dr. Pepper Bottling Company as a Diesel Mechanic for 15 years. He then relocated to Bryan, Texas and obtained employment at Neutral Posture Inc. Larry worked with the company for 26 years. On May 2, 2006, Larry was granted a United States Patent for inventing the support assembly for a seating device. Larry retired in April 2020. While in retirement, Larry enjoyed spending time with his family.
On January 28, 2021, Larry heard the voice of God calling and surrendered unto Him. He fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith. He will always be remembered for his charismatic personality and his genuine love for others. Larry was proceeded in death by: his parents, JT and Lucy Williams; his son, Derrick Johnson; his sisters: Emma Banks, Barbara Knox, and Claudette Williams; his brother, Charles Johnson.
Larry leaves a legacy of love and unforgettable memories to: his wife,
Debbie Johnson; his daughters: LaToya Taylor (Marshall), LaRiya Johnson
and Jaida Johnson all of Bryan Texas; his son, Justin Johnson (Christacia)
of Porter, Texas; eight grandchildren, two brothers: Daniel Johnson
(Beverly) of Hempstead, Texas, James Johnson (Rhonda) of Clear Lake,
Texas; three sisters: Daisy Green of Houston, Texas, Marilyn Jackson
(Calvin) and Sandra Johnson all of Bryan, Texas; special friend, David
Hunter and countless other family members and friends that were blessed to have known him.
