Obituary
Elvesta Delores Adams Lamar was born April 8, 1956
to Roland Koontz and Willie Mae Adams in Bryan,
Texas. She departed life May 23, 2021 peacefully at
home at the age of 65.
Elvesta grew up and attended school in Bryan, Texas.
We all know her as Wanchie. She never had children
of her own, but she raised many. She loved he nieces
and nephews dearly. Wanchie never met a stranger
and loved and lived life to the fullest.
Wanchie is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Roland Koontz and Ms. Willie Mae Alcorn; five sisters,
Glenda Pearl Turner, Elmira Alcorn, Mattie Alcorn,
Georgia Cole and Mary Jean Bailey; two brothers,
Calvin Ray Adams and Roland Koontz Jr.; husband
Frankie Lamar.
She leaves to cherish her memories one sister, Beverly
Oliver (Freddie) of Houston, Texas;one brother,
Willliam Adams of Bryan, Texas; four half sisters,
Joyce Koontz of Bryan, Texas, Gloria Robertson of
Bryan, Texas, Barbara Ford of Austin, Texas and Ester
Loud of Bryan, Texas; a special friend, Billie Fisher
and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew, other relative and friends.
