With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the celebration of life for our beloved ToriLclaine Ross, affectionately known as “Sexii Redd” or “Big T” to so many who cherished her. Tori was born on May 21, 1991, at St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital to Keri Ross and Charles Ray Gooden Sr. She was lovingly raised in a blended family, also embraced and guided by her stepmother, Gloria Walton Gooden.
Tori was the tenth of twelve siblings, a beautiful light among her brothers and sisters, and a deeply devoted aunt to countless nieces and nephews. To know Tori was to know love in its purest form sincere, sweet, and endlessly giving. Her radiant presence, and infectious humor would light up any room. She had a rare and gentle way of making others feel seen, heard, and understood. If you were having a bad day, just one conversation with Tori could lift your spirit. She had a heart that loved deeply and gave selflessly — a soul that made this world kinder, funnier, and so much more beautiful.
Tori began her early education at Fannin Elementary School, a special time in her life where she
shared her school days with her younger siblings. She excelled in mathematics and cherished
learning alongside her brothers and sisters. Her journey continued at Sam Rayburn Middle School
and later Bryan High School, where she was surrounded by friends and family who adored her. She had a natural ability to connect with others and was always known for her positivity and warmth. After high school, Tori entered the Food Services Job Corps holding various jobs across the city. She was known for her tireless work ethic and compassionate spirit. Her kindness and character were evident in every space she entered — respected, admired, and loved by all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.
More than anything, Tori was a loving sister, a fiercely proud aunt, and a loyal partner. She never
missed a birthday, a school event, or a moment to celebrate with her family. She found joy in the
simple things — cooking, eating seafood, sharing laughter, and spending time with her loved ones, especially her partner of four years, Ebony, who stood faithfully by her side until she was called home. Tori’s life was a living example of unconditional love.
Tori leaves behind a legacy of love and light. She is survived by her loving partner, Ebony; her
parents, her mother Keri Ross and father Charles Ray, her stepmother Gloria Gooden; her 4 sisters: Almesha (Marcia), Ieschia (Paige), Karrian, Tiera (Canaan), her brothers: Charles Jr., Calvin (LaShonda), Christopher, Michael (Jessica), Robert Charles (Stephanie), Donnie (Vanessa), Marcus (Eboni); her grandparents, Steve and Patricia Ellis; and her dearest nieces and nephews closest to her: J.R., Ray Ray, Donnie Childs III, Jordan, Bella, Major, RJ, Ah’Tileah, Phoenix, and many others. She is also remembered by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, other nieces and nephews, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts. Tori’s love was boundless, her laughter unforgettable, and her presence irreplaceable. She was trulya one-of-a-kind soul — strong, beautiful, and full of grace. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories, the love she left behind, and the promise that we will see her again.
