Mr. Columbus S. Duren
Columbus S. Duren was born November 7, 1936, in Bryan, Tx to Hezekiah and Mary Eliza Duren.
He attended school in Fairview. He went on to drive trucks and later retired from Continental airline. Columbus loved sports; he was an avid football fan, he loved the Aggies and Cowboys.
He found Christ at a early at Fairview B.C. He recently rededicated his services and membership to Fairview B.C. under the leadership of Rev. Kenneth E. Hall where he remained a faithful member until death.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters and brothers.
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind a devoted loving wife, Mary Sparks Duren of Bryan, Tx; his children, Janet Harris of California, Columbus Duren, Jr of Dallas, Tx, Yestial (Sean) Collins of Houston, Tx, Ben Garcia of Bryan, Tx; a Step son, Chris Buchanan of Dallas, Tx; one brother, Willis ( Janis) Duren of Houston, Tx. He will be remembered by ten grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
