Delora “Lois” Marie (Harris) Steamer was born on June 19, 1949 to Leroy Harris, Sr. and Eunice Jordan Harris in Bryan, Texas. She was blessed to have just celebrated her 68th birthday, on Monday June 19th.      She attended Bryan Public schools and graduated from E. A. Kemp High School, in Bryan, Texas, class of 1967.     She met and married Theodore Corydon Williams in Bryan, Texas in 1968 and during this union one blessed child was born, Dedtra Marchelle Williams Speights.     Later in her life, in the late 70’s and early 80’s, she met and married Johnny Frank Steamer in March 20, 1983 and they lived in Rockdale, Bryan and then Branchville, Texas and later, until her passing, lived in Temple, Texas.

Lois worked at Texas A&M Duncan Hall for several years and then went on to work in the healthcare field until she could no longer work due to back surgery and health issues and then a housewife for the remainder of her years.     Lois was a very caring, compassionate, and loving wife to her husband Johnny F. Steamer for over 34 years of marriage.      In the early morning of August 28, 2017 at 12:00 am the LORD needed another angel, so he said come home, my beautiful child and she slipped away into our LORDS arms where she is now at peace with her father and mother, Leroy and Eunice Harris along with her other siblings who were called before her, LC Harris, Letha Bee Harris, Leroy Harris, Jr., Teriece Harris Lehman, Mac Harris (Josephine), Ruby Harris Bolden, James Harris (Mary Alice), Columbus L.
