Tommie L. McMurray “Big Man”

Sunrise: February 21, 1939

Tommie “Buddy” Lee McMurray was born February 21, 1939 to the parentage of Sam A. and Georgia B. McMurray in Brazos
County, Texas. Both parents; one daughter, LaWanda McMurray; one son, Greg McMurray; six sisters, Ora Lee, Geraldine, Ruby, Winnie, Doris and Katie; two brothers, Sam Jr and Charles; grand-
parents, nieces and nephews preceded him in death.

Tommie departed this life on April 21, 2020 in Bryan, Texas. Tommie accepted Christ at an early age and united with the New
Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Garfield Alexander. He loved God.

Tommie had a loving, kind, giving heart. He loved people and had a great sense of humor. He was known for dressing up in his sharp western clothes, hats and boots.

He is survived by three daughter, Brenda Lewis, Joyce Marie Lewis and Rosie Lewis; three sons, Gregory Easter, John Foster and Johnny Lewis; twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, family and friends that loved him dearly.

Graveside Service will be held on
