Shnita Latrece Gilbert was born July 27, 1982 in Brenham, Texas to Bernell Gilbert Douglas and James Willie Graves. She graduated from Caldwell High School and excelled in sports. Shnita was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Clute, Texas.She enjoyed family, sports, cooking, dancing and loved the Dallas Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, long-time partner, Robert Simmons, and siblings, Tina Graves and James Graves Jr. Shnita is survived by her sons, Exodus Lee Dearman, Raynard Lee Dearman and Exavier Lee Dearman; brothers, James Gilbert, Darron Gilbert, Jason (Shamiqua) Gilbert, Brian Gilbert and Peter Graves; sisters, Lisa (Jerome) Johnson, Mary Gilbert, Mary (Ingar) Graves, ConTina (Charles) Tindle, Ashley (James) Gilbert); and special friend, Perry Lott.
