Mattie L. (Ayers) Johnson pa
ssed away on January 31, 2016, at her residence in Robinson, TX. Services for Mattie are set for Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016, from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
Mattie L. (Ayers) Johnson was born January 4, 1932, to John and Rosetta Ayers. She accepted Christ at an early age. She attended school in Burleson County, TX. Mattie met and married Ernest Johnson on March 1, 1947, and to this union, twelve children were born. Proceeding her in death were her husband Ernest, five children and eleven brothers and sister.
Mattie leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Kenton (Merinda) of Humble, TX, Milton of Robinson, TX, James Derrick of Temple, TX; four daughters, Minnie of Los Angeles, CA, Carolyn of Hewitt, TX, Sherry (Rusty) of Robinson, TX and Sherron of Waco, TX; two daughter-n-laws, Jaris Johnson of Hearne and Jessie L. Johnson of Hewitt, TX; one son-n-law, Bruce McQueen of Austin, TX; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
