Lois Anna Buchanan

Lois Ann Buchanan was born on April 19th, 1959 to James E. Buchanan and Annie B. Buchanan. Ann went to Bryan High School where she graduated, Class of 1977!

She accepted Christ at an early age at, West Union Missionary Baptist Church. There she remained a faithful member under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Lang until transitioning from this life.

Ann was a passionate woman who enjoyed crocheting, finger painting, coloring, babysitting her family’s children (there were a lot), traveling with her mother, and spending time with her favorite cousin Terri Lynn Smith. She also loved to worship in church with her mother and cousin Sandra Kaye. Ann greatly enjoyed going out to eat with her family and attending family events. Throughout Ann’s life, she was high-spirited, had plenty jokes, and ALWAYS spoke her mind. Her smile, humorous remarks, and warmheartedness were what made her the beautiful person that she was.

On September 24, 2020 God opened a window and Ann saw a glimpse of beauty and like the wind she was gone. Ann was preceded in death by her father, James E. Buchanan; great grandparents, Rev. Doc Jenkins (Katherine) and Edmund Jones (Rena); sister, Bessie K. McGill; nephew, Byron D. Johnson; and cousin, LaTravean “T-Baby” Thomas.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Annie B. Jenkins; one brother, Melvin C. Paul; two sisters, Linda G. Johnson and Mary K. Durens; four nephews, and a host of close family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday September 28, 2020 from 3pm to 6pm in the chapel of Daniel and Son Funeral Home, 401 W. 18th St., Bryan, TX 77703.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday September 29, 2020 at 11am at Oakwood Cemetery Dean St., Bryan, TX.
