Levarn Cavers Jr.

Levarn Cavers Jr. was born on April 4th, 1957, to Levarn Cavers Sr. and Patsy Jo Lee (Bigham) in Oklahoma City, OK. He attended
school at Ben Milam Elementary in Bryan Tx. from 1963 to 1969. He then attended Anderson Jones Middle School from 1969 to 1971.
Afterward, he attended Stephen F. Austin High School, which was eventually renamed Bryan High School. He attended from there 1971 to 1975, graduating in 1975. After graduation, he moved to Oklahoma City, OK.

In 1976, he joined the US Navy as an HT, a Hull Technician. He attended Boot Camp in San Diego, Ca. He was stationed in Hawaii on his first tour of duty and Okinawa, Japan, during his second tour. He served on the U.S.S. Martin, and he served on various submarines.

After leaving the military, he settled in Oakland, Ca, then later moved to San Francisco, Ca., where he remained until he transitioned from this earth to God’s hand.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Acey and Esther Cavers and Rev. Milton and Gussie Jones.

To cherish his memory, he is survived by his parents; Levarn Cavers Sr. and Wayne and Patsy Bigham, his God Mother, Rita Taylor (Rev. Taylor – deceased), his daughter, LaShea Cavers, his son, Maurice Cavers (Swinda – daughter in law), his sisters; Delores A. Cavers-Taylor of Tulsa, Oklahoma (Dexter-husband) and Kristan Bigham of Lewisville, Tx., and three brothers; Keith Taylor of Ashdown, Ark., Anthony Cavers (Natisha-wife) of Oklahoma City, Ok., Darrell Keith Cavers of Oklahoma City and Jordan O. Bigham of Lewisville, Tx. and host nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 18, 2020 from 3pm to 6pm in the chapel of Daniel and Son Funeral Home, 401 West 18th St., Bryan, TX 77803.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday September 19, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the City of Bryan Cemetery (Veterans Section) 1608 N. Washington Bryan, TX 77803.
