Imogene Petty Johnson(Good Mama)
83 passed away on Friday, May 22,2015 at her residence. Funeral services are set for 11:00a.m Wednesday, May 27,2015 at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, in Bryan, Texas., with Pastor Anthony Ross officiating.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26,2015 from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m at Daniel & Son Chapel. Interment will follow immediately at Oakwood Cemetery.
Imogene (Good-mama) was born on November 26,1932 in Wheelock, Texas to Felix Petty, Sr. and Melissa Sheppard Petty. She graduated from EA Kemp High School. After High school she attend beauty school for beautician, then some college.
She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member at Galilee Missionary Baptist church. For 26 years she was employed with BISD as a bus driver. She was a member of the Grand Court Calanthia #264.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis J. Johnson,Sr,one son Otis J. Johnson,Jr,her parents; one brother, and two sisters
She leaves to cherish her memories her two daughter Dana K. Johnson Spates and Linda F. Johnson; one son and daughter-in-law Ronald G. Johnson and Lillie Johnson;7 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren;1 great-great grandchild; and host of other family members and friends.
The family extends special thanks and appreciation to St. Joseph Manor Staff Station #1 and Hospice of Brazos Valley
