Family and friends mourn the passing of Tandra La Cole Green on September 28, 2021. She was born on July 28, 1983, in Dallas, Texas, to Herbert Green and Lillie Hall-Green.At an early age, Tandra professed faith in Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Bryan, and later joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the youth choir. Tandra loved to debate (not formal) and was an avid reader. She attended Bryan public schools and graduated from Bryan High School in 2001. She was also a 2011 graduate of Sam Houston State University, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business. Tandra was pursuing a Master’s Degree when her health failed in 2014. Tandra was a very caring, compassionate and loving mother to her only son, Tayvian. She was such a proud mother from the day he was born. She also loved her family. Tandra is preceded in death by her grandparents, Luther and Mary Hall, and Turlee and Leomia Green-Smith.Tandra leaves to cherish her memories, a loving son, Tayvion Dwayne Jones; devoted parents, Benny and Lillie Steele; father, Herbert Green; favorited/ride-or-die brother, Shannon L. Green; niece, Empruss Ray; grandmother, Dorothy Steele; eight aunts, Gracy Buckhanan, Shary Taylor, Barbara Smith of Denton, TX, Freddie Mae Rodgers of Arkansas, Charlotte Hall, Linda Steele of Bryan, TX, Anita Steele, and Stasha Steele of Bremond, TX; six uncles, James C. Hall, Charles Hall, Richard Carter of Bryan, TX, Lue Steele, Elvin Steele, and Wayne Steele of Bremond, TX; and special family and friends, Cecial C., Tameka, Jevonne, Regina, Felechia, Melba, LaQuanda, and Lorn
Omg, I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of Tandra. I remember when she and Shannon were growing up on 28th street. The family is in my prayers.
