Home Going Celebration for Bro. Reginald Emmitt Smith
Obituary
Reginald Emmitt Smith was born January 17, 1947 to Ludie B.
Sherman and A. Jackson, and was later adopted and raised by
Cleveland and Maime Smith of Teals Prairie, Texas where he lived
his childhood years.
Reginald was united in Holy Matrimony to Bessie Ruth Tolbert in
September 1966, and to this union two sons were born, Uniter Keith
Smith and Tosh Aki Smith.
Reginald enlisted and served in the United States Army July 1966
through June 1968, attended TSU and spent the majority of his work
tenure in the Medical Research industry.
Reginald Emmitt Smith departed this life on Wednesday, September
21, 2022 and was preceded in death by his parents, bonus parents
and lovely wife.
Left to cherish his memories, his beloved family members: Two
sons: Keith Smith and Tosh Smith; one grandchild: Coby Smith;
three brothers: Anthony Burns (Gwen), Cleveland Burns, Jr., and
Ronald Burns (Lela); four Sisters: Joyce Burns Figgers, Robbie
Burns Delley, Agnes Mitchell (Ricky) and Sonja Burns; and a host
of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and life-
long friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 01, 2022
11:00A.M. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Caldwell, Texas
No Visitation Services.
Reginald is my cousin, we grew up together at teal’s prairie
I will truly miss my hugs when I visit home each year from Reginald.
Our last conversation was homecoming 8/22 I told u to fight own and so the lord called you home ,
I will miss you so Rest In Peace. family left behind my prayers are with u
