OBITUARY

John Kevin Gentry, Jr. passed away on Sunday, March 06, 2022 at
his home.
John was born on June 03, 1989, to John Kevin Gentry, Sr. and
Marlys Ellen Dyer Shelton in Houston, Harris County.
John grew up in Bryan and attended public school in Bryan with
BISD schools.
John’s legacy of strength and love for his family will be passed on to
his parents, Wayne and Marlys Shelton; his siblings Chase Shelton,
Ty Shelton, Mandy Gilliam, Jessica Gilliam and Cheyenne Casey;
and Robert McGowan who was like a father to him.
John enjoyed Hard Rock Music and the Brazos Club. He loved kids,
and his family at the Brazos Club which he was a member.
John is preceded in death by his Aunt Claudia Dyer.
John leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Marlys and Wayne
Shelton; three sisters, Mandy Gilliam, Jessica Gilliam and Cheyenne
Casey; two brothers, Chase Shelton and Ty Shelton; Robert
McGowan; his maternal grandparents, Harvey and Georgia Dyer and
paternal Barbara Shelton; his Aunts and Uncles, Heather and Tery
Franklin and Tammy Shelton; his cousin, Wesley Moyer; his best
friends, Kevin Baker, Mat Still and Jonathan Rosson; other relatives
and friends.

A visitation will be held for John on Saturday, March 12,
2022 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Daniel & Son Funeral Home. A
memorial celebration will be held at the Brazos Club at 8:00 p.m.
immediately after his visitation services.
