Elijah ” Blue” Carl Johnson, Sr

ELIJAH “Blue” CARL Johnson, SR. was born in Houston,Texas on Thursday, February 2, 1950 to John C. Johnson and Pearlie Loughridge Johnson.
Because of his love for the Lord,confesses his faith at an early
age and was baptized in 1964.
Elijah_attended Bryan Public schools, where he graduated from E.A. Kemp High School in 1968. He met Alice Joyce Sims in kindergarten, dated her during his senior year in high school, and they were united in Holy matrimony October of 1968. Their union led to the birth of one son, Elijah Carl Johnson, Jr. and one daughter, Shandra R. Johnson.
Elijah gained employment with Alinco Glass Company, where he worked for about two years after his graduation then gained employment at Mobil Oil Refinery for about 15 years Before retiring, and moving back to Bryan, Texas.
While residing in Beaumont, he joined and remained member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
During his earlier years, Elijah was an active member of the CB (Citizens Band ‘Radio Club). He also enjoyed listening to music and shooting pool.
Elijah cherished his family and was a loving son, husband,father, grandfather to A’lise, and friend.
Elijah was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. John C. Johnson’ Sr.; his grandparents, Maternal- Pearly Neal and Sarmoneus Loughridge and  Paternal- John Cleveland Johnson,Jr and  Marzella Green Johnson.; and one brother,Melvis Ray Johnson, Sr.

On the morning of Saturday, March 17, 2018, Elijah finished his course on earth.
Those left to forever cherish his love and memories are one son, Elijah Carl Johnson, Jr. of Bryan, Texas; one daughter,Shandra R. Johnson of Atascocita, Texas; an exceptional
loving, supportive former wife, Alice Joyce Johnson of Beaumont, ‘Texas; one sister, Betty Shaw (John) of Houston,Texas; one granddaughter, A’lise Joye Johnson of Bryan, Texas; a special niece, Sandi Johnson Simon (Gabe) of Houston, Texas, ten nieces, seven nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
