DOUGLAS MALVIN CARROLL

Douglas Malvin Carroll, 66, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. He was the eldest of seven children born to Malvin Carroll and Shirley Douglas-Carroll in Caldwell, Texas.

At a young age, he devoted his life to Christ and his faith was strengthened in recent years with the support of his family and friends.

He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1977, where he played baseball, football and ran track. He later married the love of his life, Sherylon Jenkins of Bryan, Texas. They enjoyed 40 years of marriage until his passing. They had one child, Brittany Carroll.

His entrepreneurial spirit motivated him to remain self-employed for most of his life. Before his recent illness, he owned and operated The Lock Doc, a local vehicle unlocking service.

In addition to spending time with his family, he loved watching classic television shows and Western films. He also enjoyed reading business books, listening to music, playing chess and fishing.

He had an infectious smile and a kind heart. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Everyone who knew Doug loved him, and he will be missed deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father, Malvin Carroll. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherylon Carroll; his daughter, Brittany Carroll; one grandson, Jaylon Phillips; one granddaughter, Jasmine Victoria De Leon, all of College Station, Texas; his mother, Shirley Carroll of Caldwell, Texas; three brothers and their wives, Anthony Carroll (Altanette) of Athens, Georgia, Ricky Carroll (Pamela) of Caldwell, Texas, and Shelvin Carroll (Allison) of College Station, Texas; three sisters, Valerie Carroll of Webster, Texas, Connie Booker (Charles) of College Station, Texas, and Rophelia Carroll of Conroe, Texas, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
