David Shelby III

David Shelby, III was born on June 12,
1945, in Kansas City, Kansas to his mother, Marge Capitola Smith and father, Marvin K
McHone.
David received his former education at
Bonner Springs High School, in Kansas
City, Kansas .Upon graduating Bonner Springs High School in 1963. At 19, he entered the Air Force. Upon completing his term. He worked as a Part time Instructor circa 1970 at Wayne County Community College District in Detroit, Michigan. He also worked at Ford Motor Company, Detroit Michigan Circa1968 to 1969. Interior Designer at Levitz Furniture store Minneapolis, MN. He was a librarian for many years, a manager at Macy’s in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His knowledge and education allowed him to leave many fingerprints. He loved education fashion/jewelry and an even
greater love of Mercedes and at one time Cadillacs until he found the engine to be the same as Toyota or Buick.
He later moved to Bryan, Texas. He was a devoted and faithful member of Shiloh
Missionary Baptist Church and later became a member of New Covenant Christian Ministry, Bryan, Texas.
He loved his family and enjoyed being with them. Preceding him in death are his parents and two siblings, Terrance Delaino Jordan and Jacqueline Jordan.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jacquline Shelby; his first wife, Ever L.McWright Davis- Payne, his beloved daughter, Traci Lanee’ Davis and his three Grandchildren Jelani Anthony Davis, Hassaan Ali Davis, and Kalila Eve Davis; he was also a is father to his wife’s children Lonnie, Kiera, Coco; and a grandfather to their children; his beloved sister, Audna Jordan -Foster; two brothers, Kenneth Jordan and Lloyd Jordan; aunts, uncles, nieces Toyion Jordan and Rachel Jordan , nephews Leland Jordan, Gregg Hudson, and Terry Jones, Elijah Mc Neil, Loren Jordan, beloved cousins ,such as Brenda(Andaye) Bell Caffee, Connie and Doyna Rodgers, Marlene Davis, and Judy Narcisse and a myriad of other cousins and a host of friends, such as Michael Young and Allen Segal.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 15, 2020 from 2pm to 6pm in the chapel of Daniel and Son Funeral Home located at 401 W. 18th St., Bryan, Texas 77803.
Graveside Service will be held on Thursday July 16, 2020 at 11:00am at the Bryan City Cemetery located at 111 N. Texas Ave, Bryan, Tx 77803.
