Obituary
Barbara Nell Dove Young was born on October 30, 1957, to Joseph and Elizabeth Dove. She was the twelfth of fourteen children.Barbara was raised in a Christian home and attended United Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor U.L. Green. She later joined Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor C.L. King, where she was in the church choir.Barbara graduated from Bryan High School in 1976. She then went on to college and received a degree in accounting. She worked as a supervisor for Albertsons. On July 5, 1986, Barbara married the love of her life, Eddis Young, and they were married for 35 years. She helped raise most of her nieces and nephews. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Dove, Sr., and Elizabeth Dove; four sisters, Lillie Dove, Margaret Lewis, Elizabeth Dove, and Sylvia Gordon; and two brothers, Sylvester Dove, Sr., and Joseph Dove, Jr.She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving husband, Eddis Young; Godchildren, Brittany Thomas, Cameron Butler, Angela Wilson, and Shay Shay Young; five sisters, Maggie Williams of Dallas, Texas, Beulah Graham of Houston, Texas, Freddie Scott (Oliver) of Texas City, Texas, Dorothy Philips of Bryan, Texas, and Tracy Thomas (Brent) of Pflugerville, Texas; two brothers, Charles Dove of Bryan, Texas, and Jessie Dove (Sharon) of Houston, Texas; two brothers-in-law, James Young (Gloria) and Julius Young (Cathy); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Eddis, my heart is heavy. God has the last word. I cannot be there with you, but my heart is there. Now Barbara is resting in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ. Her smile brightens the room. She will always be with you, and her beautiful smile is shining in heaven with long healthy wings. I love you, cousin.
