Celebration of Life for Rozena Williams Banks
Rozena’s Life Story
Rozena Banks was born on June 23, 1937 to Joseph and Irma Williams.
She was born in Bunkie, Louisiana. Rozena attended Bunkie Public School
System.
She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Amazon Baptist
Church. She was also a member of Bethel’s Family in Houston, Texas
where she served as an usher until her health failed.
Rozena was a dedicated employee at Diagnostic Hospital for over 35 years.
She loved to socialize, cook and host gatherings. She was a good listening
ear for everyone, and loved to talk and gave great advice. She was very
kind-hearted and would give you her last. She was a generous soul with a
big heart, always had a smile and was the glue that bonded the family together. Rozena is preceded in
death by her husband, Willie Banks, father, Joseph Williams, mother, Irma Chambers, son, Terry
Williams, sisters, Isabella, Mercedes and Mary, brothers, Joseph Jr. and Calvin.
Cherishing her memories are her children, Debra Adams (Alvin), Demeteria Banks and Avia Banks
Thomas (Walter); daughter-in-law, Jackie Williams; brother, Lester Williams; sisters, Patricia
Johnson, Mammie Jasper, Rose Evans and Karen Roberson; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-
grandchildren;4 great-great-grandchildren and host of family and friends
