Obituary

Mrs. Rosalynn Monroe Williams was born August 19, 1960 to Elmer Monroe, Sr. and Phyllis Elizabeth Jackson. Mrs. Rosalynn Monroe Williams attended Galveston Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, where she graduated from high school. Mrs. Rosalynn Monroe Williams accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of True Vine Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, and was the church clerk. Rosalynn had the heart of a servant and was very passionate about her church family. Rosalynn Monroe Williams met and married Donald Lee Williams; together they enjoyed family, fishing and riding their horses. Rosalynn was preceded in death by her mother and father, Elmer Monroe, Sr. and Phyllis Elizabeth Jackson, her daughter, Donita Williams, Grandparents, Bennie and Nellie Jackson and Luther and Rosie Monroe, her brothers, Elmer James Lockett, and Luther Marvin Monroe. Rosalynn leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband, Donald Williams; her daughters and one son-in-law, Rosalyn and James McMillon and DeAngelia Williams; six grandchildren, JNesis Taylor, James Donte McMillon, Merrisha McMillon, Messiya McMillon, Destiny Williams and Dekaydrien Williams; two sons, Derrick and Dakota Tates; ten brothers, Bennie Jackson (Ira Joyce), Raymond Monroe (Reisha), Robert Earl Williams, Lynold Williams, Raymond Frazier, Frederick Frazier, Elmer Monroe, Jr., Robert Monroe (Joyce), Tommy Jones, and James Michael Smither; a God brother, Jerry Walker (Danyale); four sisters, Deloris Wilson, Mary Ann Hoskin (Perry), Joyce Childs (Tony), and Patricia Jones; four aunts, Dorothy Tarver, Mildred Cooper, Bonita Idlebird, Mary Ann Monroe; one uncle, Reverend Billy K. Jackson; bonus sisters, Sherron Gruyarloe, Margaret Taylor, and Debra Kay Johnson. The family extends special thanks and appreciation to Amber Edwards, Shanece Davis, Iola Seymore, Louise Mason, and gone but never forgotten, Calean Blandford; her special pets, horses, Stormy and Bull Frog; and a host of other relatives and friends.
