Mrs. Minnie Pearl Green Adams of Houston, Texas, departed this life on July 31, 2025. Born March 10,1946, in Wheelock, Texas, to the late Mormon Green and Lue McMillon Green, Minnie Pearl was the cherished only child of her parents. Minnie Pearl’s journey of learning began at John M. Moore Junior High School, where she completed her studies in May 1961. She graduated from Kemp High School in May 1964.

She continued to pursue her passion for helping others by earning her diploma from St. Philips College – School of Vocational Nursing in July 1966. Her commitment to education did not end there; she attended Prairie View A&M College, earning her degree in Sociology in 1970.
She was first united in marriage to James A. Ball, a union that was blessed with two children, Lawrence Ball and Kimberly Ball, and lasted for 13 years. Later, Minnie found love again with Theodore Adams, with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing in 2013.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Minnie Pearl leaves behind her beloved son, Lawrence Ball (Candy) of Houston, Texas, and daughter, Kimberly Ball of McKinney, Texas.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Joshua Johnson and Jalen Ball, and her great-grandchildren, Joshua Jr. and Kennedi. Minnie Pearl’s circle of love extended to her siblings, with whom she shared deep bonds: Linda R. Domingues of Lake Jackson, Texas; Lovie D. Teague of Houston, Texas; Vernell Walton of Bryan, Texas; and James A. Teague Sr. of Freeport, Texas.
Her interests reflected her gentle spirit and joyful heart. Minnie Pearl found peace by the water, fishing, and delighted in exploring the worlds within the pages of novels. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, treasuring every moment and creating lasting memories.
She is fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. Her grace and warmth will be deeply missed but forever remembered..
