James Bradley “JB” McGee was born on November 11, 1980, to Billie McGee and Reta Foley McGee in Bryan, Texas. He was better known as “JB,” and to his basketball teammates, he was known as “Bear.”
JB accepted Christ at an early age. He loved the Lord, and one could often find him listening to songs such as “I Won’t Complain” and “It’s Another Day’s Journey.”

JB attended Bryan Public Schools and graduated from Bryan High School in May 1999. While attending Bryan High School, he played varsity basketball, a sport he deeply enjoyed. JB loved sports, especially basketball —as well as cooking. He also played basketball for the Boys & Girls Club.

JB was preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Reta McGee; his maternal grandparents, Edward and Evenly Foley Jr.; and his paternal grandparents, Sylvester Tennell and Joyce Marie McGee. JB leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Jordan McGee; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Timothy and Cloresa McGee, and Dexter and Jacqueline Hedge; his sister, Demetria Baker; his uncles, Robie McGee, Sylvester Tennell II, Rev. Curtis Tennell (Shelly), Curtis Foley, Elsie Tennell (LaTasha), Jerry Tennell (Michelle), Kenneth Tennell (Natrenia), and Kelvin Tennell (Lettie); his aunts, Glen Dailey (Tommy), Ella Jefferson, Beverly Tennell, and Regina Carter (Rev. Tommy Carter); his niece, Tye McGee; his special friend, Melanie Keefer; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
