Celebrating the Life of Frances Stewart

Obituary

Frances Nadine Stewart, a loving mother, grandmother, sister,
and friend, peacefully passed away on September 25, 2024, at
the age of 80. She was born February 24, 1944 in Bryan,
Texas. She was the cherished daughter of the late Allie and
Corine Stewart.
Frances dedicated her life to Christ at an early age,
embodying her faith as a devoted member of Greater
Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 40 years. She served as
the Sunday School Secretary for much of that time, until
health challenges made it difficult for her to continue.
A proud graduate of E.A. Kemp High School, class of 1963,
Frances formed a lifelong bond with her dear friends Marjorie
Fisher and Tilda Mosley, together they lovingly called
themselves “The Golden Girls”.
Throughout her career, she held various professions, with her
final role at St. Joseph Hospital before retiring in 2003.
Frances had a passion for life’s simple pleasures, enjoying her
favorite westerns and game shows, traveling with friends to
garage sales, as well as taking leisurely walks. Her helpful
spirit and love for others shone brightly in everything she did.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents and her brother,
James Stewart.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her sons, John, Brandon
(Tiffany), Christopher, and Matthew Stewart; her three
beloved grandchildren, Quenteijan, Brandon, and Zair
Stewart; one great-grandson, Karter Johnson; her sister,
Carolyn Stewart; her brothers, Marilyn Stewart and Ronell
Stewart; her nieces, Hope Stewart, Damita Stephens, Simone
Simmons; her nephew, Dwayne Thompson; her goddaughter,
Roshunda Smith; and a host of relatives and friends who will
miss her dearly.
