Elson Williams Sr. was born on January 29, 1955, to Ness Washington and Nealie Mae Young. He accepted Christ at an early age, and He joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Alexander.
Elson entered active duty for the U.S. Army National Guard of Texas on July 26,1974, and served honorably until April 04, 1980.
While serving his country, he received the National Defense Service Expert Medal. Elson enjoyed hunting, Music, Baseball, football, and most of all his family. Elson is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings; Eugene Williams, Nelson Williams, Velma Lee Monroe, Mary Ann Williams, Tommie Nell Williams and Lizzie Williams.
Elson leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Arichstan T. Williams, and Elson Williams, Jr.; his daughter Elsoneatra M. Williams; his brothers and sister-in-law; Houston Lee Williams, James E.
Young (Faye) and Pearline Green, his sisters and brother-in-law; Eunell Williams-Alvin, Margaret Whitfield, Bobby Davis, and Ester Walton; his granddaughters, Chelsea Janae DeBerry and husband John Paul DeBerry, and Keiondra Gooden; his great-grandchildren; his special friends, Allen Gill U.S. Army National Guard; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
