Obituary

On a bright and beautiful day on March 23, 1960, Oscar and Ruby Loyce Dove were blessed with an adorable daughter. They named her Darline Marie. She had an amazing childhood. After her elementary school years, she attended Bryan High. Darline later attended Prairie View A&M University. She experienced life playing the piano, singing, praising God, traveling and meeting people, and showing kindness to everyone she met with an infectious smile. Darline was united in holy matrimony May 2, 1986 to Alvin Walker for thirty-five years. They were blessed with two children. She was a dutiful wife, mother and grandmother. Darline accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was a child and united with the New Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Maurice Williams. Growing older, she became a member of the Roans Chapel Baptist Church under the guidance of Reverend Sam Hill. Darline was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Marie Nutall. As a chosen child of God who has blessed her always, Darline had always been loyal, dutiful and a dedicated servant of God. Darline leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Alvin Walker; two children, Demontric Walker and Terrence Walker; three grandchildren, Terrence Dewayne, Brooklyn Nicole and Bellamie Grace; mother, Ruby Loyce Dove; three sisters, Cynthia Williams, Brenda Ford, Linda Barnes and a host of relatives and friends.
