A Celebration of Life for Venty Johnson
Obituary
Venty Johnson was born August 6, 1963 in Burleson County to the late Rufus and Louise
Johnson. He accepted Jesus as Lord of his life at a young age at Jerusalem Baptist Church
on Brewer Hill, and later in life united with New Liberty Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas.
He attended public schools in Caldwell, Texas. He developed a love for driving 18-
wheeler trucks at a young age. He attended truck driving school and obtained his CDL
to begin his career as a professional truck driver. After many years of driving across the
country, he decided to drive locally. He was talented and loved watching sports,
especially football.
Venty will be remembered for his love for people, and no one was a stranger to him. He
also had a love for good food and snacks, and loved life and laughter.
He began his eternal life with our Heavenly Father on January 6, 2024. He was preceded
in death by his twin brother Denty Johnson, sister Unell Johnson, grandfather Floyd
Irvin, grandmother Ernestine Irvin, father Rufus Johnson, mother Louise Johnson, and
brother Roy Chester Johnson.
Venty leaves to cherish his memories, his former spouse, Jeanette Craft, his brothers,
James Curtis Johnson (Gladys Johnson), Robert Johnson (Yvonne Williams-Johnson), Jack
Johnson (Charlisa Johnson), Mack Johnson, Edward Johnson (Baerbel Petra Johnson),
Raymond Johnson (Gloria Johnson), and Ronald Anthony Johnson; sisters, Inell Johnson,
