Shirley Jean Hines

Shirley Jean Hines, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Elester and Jessie Lee Hines, was born in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas on July 9, 1940.
Shirley was given her wings to Heaven early Wednesday morning, March 21, 2018 in the Crossroads and Rehabilitation Center, Hearne, Texas.
At a very early age, Shirley professed a faith in Christ and united with the Roans Chapel Baptist Church. Shirley served as the Children’s Sunday School teacher, a member of both the Junior and Senior Choir and as the Food Service Chairperson of the cafeteria.
Shirley attended and graduated from the Lincoln High School in College Station, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elester and Jessie Lee Hines.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted sisters, Martha G. Hines of College Station and Edna Hines Thompson of Snyder, Texas; three god-daughters, Lisa Reed, Stephanie Reed Lister and Keerka Barnes; two loving nephews, Rodney Hines Thompson and Eli Garza; four nieces, Beatrice Thompson, Aaliyah Sneed, Brisha-
ya Sneed and Tytianna Thompson, all of Snyder, Texas and a host of other cousins, family members and friends.
