Carl Preston Darnell

Carl Preston Darnell was born in Franklin, Texas to Betty Darnell Whitherspoon and Hudio Whitherspoon.

Carl played football and ran track for E.A. Kemp High School. He was part of the last all Black class to graduate from the school in 1971.

Carl was a believer and he loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Larry Witherspoon and his wife, Barbara Ann Carter Darnell.

He leaves to cherish his memory a very special companion, Bessie Marshall; two daughters, Carla Mosley of Houston, Tx and Twanda Mosley of Bryan, Tx; one son, Dexter Darnell of Huntsville, Tx; two grandchildren, Vernon and Clifford Salter; two sisters, Sallie Witherspoon and Carla Twitty, both of Bryan, Tx and a host of other relatives and friends.
