Paul Christopher Daviss was born February 28, 1961, to Harry Daviss, Sr. and Remonia Davis in Sweetwater, Texas. Chris graduated from Navasota High School and Paul Quin University. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbequing, and gardening. For 24 years, Chris shared a remarkable love, Servilla Daviss. Their marriage was a true partnership, built on trust, respect, and unwavering commitment. Like his service to country, his devotion to his wife was steadfast and lifelong. Together they faced life’s challenges side by side, creating a home grounded in love, laughter, and resilience.
As a Marine, Chris answered the call to duty with courage and pride. The principles he lived by-honor, courage, and commitment extended far beyond the uniform and defined the way he lived. He was a man of his word, protective by nature, and a steady presence for those who depended on him. e believed in showing up, standing firm, and caring deeply, lessons he passed on by example. We honor Chris’s life with gratitude for his service to his country, his devotion to his wife and family, which will continue to inspire all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Harry Daviss, Sr., and Remonia Daviss, and brothers Harry Daviss, Jr. and Micah Daviss. Chris passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life marked by honor, devotion, and enduring love. A proud United States Marine, Chris carried the values of strength, discipline, and loyalty throughout his life, most clearly in his greatest mission: loving and protecting his family. He leaves cherished memories to his wife of twenty-four years, Servillia Ann Daviss; two step-sons, Julian Clay (Lorena) and Joe Keith Clay; one brother, Richard Daviss (Shemika); five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a special pet, Tia.; and a host of family and friends.
