Arlisa Reanea Washington, 55, of Bryan, Texas, passed through the Gates of Heaven on October 28, 2025, in College Station, Texas. Affectionately known as Lisa, she was born in December 20, 1969, in Vernon, Texas, to the late Herbert Lee Washington and Beulah Faye Washington. Lisa began her education in Vernon, attending preschool, elementary, and intermediate schools there. She gave her life to Christ and was baptized at the age of thirteen. Later, she moved to Altus, Oklahoma, where she attended
Middle School, and eventually made her home in Bryan, Texas. She attended SFA Middle School and graduated from Bryan High School, Class of 1988. After high school, Lisa pursued higher education at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and later at the University of North Texas in Denton, where she earned her Master ’ s Degree in Human Resources.
Her career path led her to BNSF Railway, where she worked in Human Resources for over
twelve years, and later at Amazon. In 2025, Lisa was accepted into the Texas A&M University School of Law in College Station, Texas. Lisa was full of life—always ready to go at a moment’ s notice. One of her favorite sayings was, “Let’ s roll with it—I stay ready!” She was truly the life of
the party, lighting up any room she entered with laughter, dance (dropping it like it was hot), and would say something to make you laugh. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, reading, shopping, holiday crafting, and—most of all—spending time with her family. Lisa also had a passion for encouraging others—whether motivating someone to return to school, strive to be better, or dedicate time to God, and anyone who knew her knew she loved her shoes!
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Beulah Washington; and her grandparents, Samuel and Hazel Wilson, and Prezell and Lillie Mae Washington. She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, Earnest Arbuckle, James Arbuckle, Christopher Washington, and Herbert Washington Jr.; sisters, LaSonya Williams, Tomiko Sargent (Matthew), and Shesheyko Washington (Donald); nephews, Demond Washington, Lil Matthew Sargent (Alisha),
Ernest Oliphant, James Terrell Blackshire, Michael Blackshire, Travis Arbuckle, Chauncey Arbuckle, Deiontre Washington, and Dewayne Starks; nieces, Tiffany Lake (Donald), Elissa Blackshire, DeAzjia Washington, and Delicia Starks; three goddaughters, Melanie Allen, Lezah Lee, and Nori Stotts; and a host of other relatives and friends..
