On October 6, 1954, God blessed C.D. Green and Helen Jean Green with their fourth daughter, B. Anna Bradley. She was united in holy matrimony to Donald “Donnie” Bradley, Sr., with whom she shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Donald was the love of her life. Together, they built a home grounded in faith, love, and devotion, and to this union four children were born.
B. Anna attended Smith Graded School and later Neal Jr. High School, graduating from Caldwell High School. Her early years in the church were spent in the Church of God in Christ movement. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at Holy Temple of Jesus Christ No. 8, under the leadership of Pastor Anita Walls. Her love for the Lord was unwavering, and her service to Him spanned more than 50 years. She faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher for the Me Too, Intermediate, Junior, and Young Adult classes.
Later, she was ordained as a minister and continued to serve as an associate minister for many years. B. Anna also held several leadership roles, including Treasurer and Sunday School Superintendent for the 1st District of the Holy Temple of Jesus Christ, Inc., where she worked tirelessly until God called her home. In her early years, B. Anna worked at Keller’s Factory and Leisure Lodge Nursing Home.
She later dedicated over 33 years of faithful service to the Caldwell Independent School District, where she touched countless lives through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering work ethic. B. Anna was a gifted cook and baker who found great joy in preparing meals for her loved ones. She was best known for her delicious duck dressing, Italian cream cheesecakes, and sweet potato and lemon meringue pies-recipes that brought warmth and comfort to every family gathering and church event.
