Xavier Samuel-Rayvon Newton, age 21, of Arlington, Texas, gained his heavenly wings on Sunday, August 3, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. Xavier was born on November 2, 2003, in Bryan, Texas, to Shalicia Swain and Donald Newton Jr. From the moment he entered the world, his bright smile and energetic spirit brought joy to everyone around him. He graduated from Bowie High School, where he proudly played both basketball and football.
Xavier had a deep love for life and the people in it. He enjoyed fishing with friends, gaming, and talking about sports cars, but nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his family—especially his beautiful daughter, Olivia Emery Newton, who was the light of his life.
At the time of his passing, Xavier was employed with Ryder, where his dedication and
hard work left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him. He leaves behind his loving parents, Shalicia Swain and Donald Newton Jr.; his siblings, Isaiah Newton, Layla Newton, Heavyn Newton, Syncyre Minor, and Cameron Conerway; his daughter, Olivia Emery Newton; and Olivia’s mother, Dalena Nguyen. He was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandmother, Darleen Gee Williams (March 6, 1963 – October 15, 2023), who now welcomes him with open arms in Heaven.
He is survived by his maternal grandfather, Gary Swain, and paternal grandparents,
Lovie and Donald Newton Sr., along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who
will forever cherish his memory. Xavier’s life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, and moments that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved—whether through his warm smile, his playful humor, or the quiet strength he carried. His memory will forever be a reminder to cherish each day, love deeply, and hold family close. Though he is no longer here with us in body, his spirit will live on in every fishing trip, every car ride with music playing loud, and most of all, in the heart of his precious
daughter, Olivia.

Sending my condolences and prayers to you in this difficult time. ❤️
Prayers for you and your family Shalicia.
