In Loving Memories of Tavian “Tay” who was born in Brenham, Texas to Kenneth Newsome, Jr. and Jessica Levi on April 05, 2010. Tavian “Tay” entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 06, 2025, suddenly after suffering an asthma attack and seizure, which he has had off and on from birth.
Tavian “Tay” accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at his young age, under the leadership of Interim Minister Patrick Elliott at Charity Baptist Church, located in Bryan, Texas. He was baptized and loved serving during church services by reading scripture before the sermons and during bible study. Tavian “Tay” later started attending Children’s Church at New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Artis Edwards. He enjoyed going to church when he came to Bryan, Texas, he would attend Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptists Church with his grandmother, Patricia.
Tavian “Tay” was an 8th grade student at Brenham Junior High School in Brenham, Texas. His favorite sports were football, basketball, and baseball. He played football for a season. His teacher was Ms. Karen Hollas and two of his favorite teachers were Mrs. Patricia Allen and Mrs. Lois McNair, and his principal, Mrs. Gillian Wilkes.
Tavian “Tay” hand protection from his favorite animals, his dogs Blue and Precious.
Preceding him in death is his grandpapa, Willie McKinley and Ellis Cooper, and his Uncle, Robert Levi.
Tavian “Tay” is survived by his devoted mother, Jessica Levi and his father, Kenneth Newsome, Jr.; one sister, Ja’Miya McDonald; his grandparents, Patricia Mckinley, Robbin Cooper and Kenneth and Glynes Newsome, Sr.’ three uncles, Kevin Newsome, Roger Nolan and Lavont Rey; six aunts, Aleshia Nolan, Felicia Levi, Ashley McKinley, Jelicia McKinley, Katherine Telford (Cedrick) and Lillian Bee; his great-great-grandmother , Clara Mae Levi; two great-great-uncles Joshua “June” Levi, and Robert Cook; a host of other relatives and friends; and his loving animals, Blue and Precious, his protective dogs.
